Real Madrid is reportedly considering signing Bayer Leverkusen’s attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz as a replacement for Toni Kroos in the summer of 2025. The 21-year-old has been instrumental in Leverkusen’s successful campaign, drawing interest from top clubs such as Manchester City, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid. Wirtz, however, seems intent on staying put for another year, aiming to participate in the European Championship with Germany and gain experience in the UEFA Champions League before making a move. The price tag for Wirtz is said to be at least €150 million, and he is looking for a club that consistently contends for major titles. Real Madrid appears to be the favored destination for Wirtz, with plans for him to replace Kroos in the lineup by 2025. This potential transfer could also lead to a tactical shift, with Jude Bellingham possibly dropping deeper on the field.
AC Milan is reportedly targeting Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee as their primary striker transfer target for the upcoming summer window. However, they are not the only ones interested in the 22-year-old, as Arsenal and Juventus are also in the race for his signature. In case they miss out on Zirkzee, Milan has identified several alternatives including RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, Feyenoord’s Santiago Giménez, Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, Lille’s Jonathan David, and Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy. Additionally, Cercle Brugge’s Kevin Denkey is also being monitored by the Serie A club.
Arsenal is contemplating a surprising move to re-sign Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny as they prepare for Aaron Ramsdale’s potential departure.
