Leicester City, a team recently relegated from the Premier League, is facing scrutiny over their alleged violations of the league’s spending rules. Despite being referred to an independent commission by the Premier League, the English Football League (EFL) has stated that they cannot deduct any points from Leicester in the Championship if found guilty.
EFL’s Reversed Position

However, the EFL later revised their stance, citing a lack of power under the current regulations to deduct points from the team.
