The Future of Real Madrid: Ancelotti Confirms No More Signings

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti recently declared that the team will not be making any more signings this summer. This announcement comes after the exciting arrivals of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick. Despite missing out on signing French center-back Leny Yoro, who opted for Manchester United instead, Ancelotti is confident in the current squad. With the departures of Nacho and Rafa Marín, there were rumors that Los Blancos were still searching for a center-back. However, Ancelotti reassured fans by stating, “The squad is closed. [Jesús] Vallejo is back, [David] Alaba is recovering. We have young center-backs who are training and showing a lot of quality. I believe we are well covered in this position.”

Veteran Nacho recently signed with Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah after leaving Madrid following a two-decade-long tenure. Marín, who spent last season on loan at Deportivo Alavés, joined Napoli on a permanent transfer. Additionally, Spain striker Joselu departed for Qatari club Al Gharafa. Despite these exits, Ancelotti assured fans that no more players will be leaving, as everyone wants to stay with the club. However, the team will have to adapt to life without the legendary Toni Kroos, who retired after Euro 2024. Ancelotti acknowledged the void left by Kroos, stating, “We are missing Kroos, but we have possibilities to replace him. Although there is no player quite like him, with his unique quality, we have many other resources to rely on.”

Real Madrid is gearing up for their U.S. summer tour, commencing with a match against Ancelotti’s former club AC Milan at Soldier Field in Chicago. The team will then face FC Barcelona in the Clásico on August 3 at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, before concluding the tour against Chelsea on August 6 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

While Real Madrid will not be making any further signings this summer, the team is optimistic about the current squad’s abilities. With young talents stepping up and experienced players staying put, the future looks promising for Ancelotti’s side. The upcoming tour will provide an excellent opportunity for the team to showcase their strengths and prepare for the upcoming season.
