Manchester United Eyes Potential Right-Back Signings

Manchester United is actively looking at potential right-back signings to strengthen their squad. Among the players under consideration is Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui. According to a source, United’s interest in adding another right-back will depend on the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Old Trafford. In addition to Mazraoui, the club has also shown interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.

The 26-year-old Morocco international, Noussair Mazraoui, could be on the move as Bayern Munich is willing to let him leave the Allianz Arena if the club’s valuation is met. Manchester United, having recently signed 18-year-old centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille, are keeping their options open for further defensive additions during the transfer window. Despite their interest in Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt, the German side’s hefty fee demands have been a hindrance, with United contemplating other options.

Manchester United has indicated a willingness to entertain offers for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has attracted attention from Galatasaray and West Ham United. The club is hoping to secure a transfer fee of around £20 million for the 26-year-old right-back who has one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford. Wan-Bissaka is expected to join the United squad as they embark on their preseason tour to Los Angeles, where they will face Arsenal and Real Betis.

Amid talks of player transfers, Manchester United is also focused on reducing costs within the club. The team plans to take a reduced number of staff to the United States as part of the efforts to cut around 250 jobs from the workforce. Several staff members who have been notified of potential job losses have been excluded from the preseason tour. The cost-cutting initiative, spearheaded by new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team, is expected to gain momentum in the coming months.
